Aquatic Animals

1)Hamid studies in class III.

 = হামিদ তৃতীয় শ্রেণীতে পড়ে । (studies- স্টাডিজ)

2) His father is a fisherman.

 =  তার বাবা একজন জেলে । (fisherman- ফিশারম্যান)

3) Sometimes Hamid goes out with his father to catch fish.

= কখনো কখনো হামিদ তার বাবার সঙ্গে মাছ ধরতে যায় ।   (catch- ক্যাচ)

4) Hamid loves to eat fish.

 = হামিদ মাছ খেতে ভালোবাসে ।

5) Fishes live     in water.

 =  মাছেরা জলে বাস করে ।

6) They are aquatic animals.

 = তারা জলজ প্রাণী ।  (aquatic- একোটিক)

7) They can breathe in water with their gills.

= তারা জলের মধ্যে তাদের ফুলকার সাহায্যে শ্বাস নিতে পারে । (breath-ব্রেদ, gills-গিলস)

8) But when we take them out of water they die.

= কিন্তু যখন আমরা তাদের জল থেকে বাইরে বের করি তারা মারা যায় ।

9) A fish    moves   very easily in water.

=  একটা মাছ জলের মধ্যে খুব সহজেই চলাফেরা করে ।   (easily-ইজিলি)

10) The tail of a fish   is hard.

= মাছের লেজ হয় শক্ত ।   (hard-হার্ড্ )

11) The fish changes its direction with its tail.

= মাছ লেজ ও সাহায্যে তার দিক পরিবর্তন করে ।    (direction-ডায়রেকশন)

12) There are various types of fishes.

=  বিভিন্ন ধরনের মাছ আছে । (various-ভেরিয়াস)

12) Some live    in fresh water while others live  in saline water.

= কিছু মাছ মিষ্টি জলে বাস করে অন্যদিকে অন্যেরা নোনা জলে বাস করে ।    (saline-স্যালাইন)

13) Fishes like hilsa and pomfret live in saline water.

= ইলিশ এবং পমফ্রেট মাছেরা নোনা জলে বাস করে ।

14)They migrate to sweet water to lay eggs.

= তারা মিষ্টি জলে ডিম পাড়তে যায় ।   (migrate-মাইগ্রেট)

15) Other fishes like koi, katla live in ponds and lakes.

= কই কাতলার মতো অন্যান্য মাছেরা পুকুর এবং হ্রদে বাস করে ।

16)  Hamid knows that many of his friends keep fish as pets.

17) Fishes live on worms, but some fishes eat other small fishes.

= চিংড়ি মাছ নয় ।

23) They can also swim very fast.

= তারাও খুব দ্রুত সাঁতার কাটতে পারে । (swim-সুইম)

24) The body of a prawn is covered with a soft shell.

=  চিংড়ির শরীর একটি পাতলা খোলস দিয়ে ঢাকা ।       (covered-কভার্ড্, shell-শেল)

25)  A prawn has no backbone.

 = চিংড়ির কোন মেরুদন্ড নেই । (backbone-ব্যাকবোন)

26) Hamid’s father told him that the prawn’s body has three parts: the

 head, the thorax and the abdomen.
